A missionary sees the field - the whole field - with a view to their salvation and discipleship.

There is such a need today for courageous Christians to step into the cracks and corners where the darkness is greatest and shine the light of Christ.

Jesus ate with tax collectors and "sinners" - we must do the same.Rev. Due to personal circumstances, it has been necessary to surround myself with "like-minded" people while part of the "transforming of my mind" has been occurring. However, as I move forward in my relationship with the Lord, working to bring myself into obedience to His will, I look forward to stepping out of my "comfort zone" through discipleship and helping to lead other's to the cross!Deborahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06457965650594292704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3092233049004863717.post-27535302127233198792010-03-27T04:42:21.048-07:002010-03-27T04:42:21.048-07:00Good blog Jay. I am a sinner, I just have the grace of Jesus. Jesus almost never hung out with the church people and that's all "Christians" hang out with. I think pastors are the root for the most part of this problem. A good example of this is from when I was planting in Tucson. As I was talking to someone in our church about not dating someone who was spiritually in the dumps, she responded by saying, yeah just like we should only have friends who are walking close to Christ, that way are not unequally yoked. Where did she get this CRAP, from her former youth pastor a few years before. God help us!Jeremiah M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05436234488277144074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3092233049004863717.post-89101190797663938272010-03-22T11:16:02.418-07:002010-03-22T11:16:02.418-07:00Our Lord rejected any kind of compromise. He died ...Our Lord rejected any kind of compromise. He died at the hands of religious leaders who were offended by His uncompromising words.

His disciples followed the same narrow path. When the high priest complained that they had disobeyed public guidelines and "filled Jerusalem with [their] doctrine,” they answered:

“We ought to obey God rather than men." Acts 5:29

There's no wall between Christians and the world around us. We walk freely among its people as citizens of heaven and messengers of His love. But there is a wall between what is holy and unholy. God tells us to "Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good." (Romans 12:9) Only by His Word and Spirit in us can we discern the difference and encourage each other to follow His narrow way -- in the midst of rising hostility. So,

"...do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.."
